We just got the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, so we did a comparison of how both shoot in 4k while we're walking around Osaka, Japan.

+Eat Your Kimchi iPhone Plus had a much cleaner, crisper image, but it was choppy for me. And I have a mid to high end pc to boot. iPhone 6 on it's own was working just fine, and the image was clear. I prefer the iPhone 6s.

Pixels density is more impressive than resolution itself. In other words : when you watch 1080p on your Ipad it's beautiful. When you watch a 4k video on a very huge screen you will feel it less sharpeness. And it depends on how far you are from your screen. If you whant to compare 1080p with 4k you have to compare it with the same screen which can handle 4k resolution and you have to be at the same distance of view.

Isai H do not get me wrong, I am not raining on anybody parade, just informing them, and it is my hones opinion, that is what the comment section is for. By the way did you know that the new IPhone only costs between 200-250 USD to manufacture Apple is stealing about 500 USD per phone made, the rest of the cost goes to other expenses that Apple needs to pay, like taxes and development of the OS. It is my honest opinions there are far better phones at a lower price and some with better value that still compete the with the features of the new Iphone. I just don't like to give money away, but people do what they want with there money, I am just informing people.

John Holmes I don't know too much about that but you may have some hidden processes that suck internet speed and/or which is unlikely for youtube, server may not be able to provide all 100 mbit speed. Oh and phones and tablets can slow your connection too. And you should be able to check connection speed in cmd I think (don't remember anymore). Sorry about random wable ^^

My computer couldn't handle watching your video on 4k, there was just way too much lag, so I had to watch it at 1080pHD which was just right. The video quality looks so good on the new iPhone. I now I can't wait to get one and I'm so glad they added a rose gold colour too.

This computer that I'm watching it on was just built a week ago and has an AMAZING graphics card and everything, and it STILL had trouble loading for the highest setting xD It would be SO cool to see this on a 4k tv

I don't think 4k will add a lot for now, since most people don't have 4k screens and plenty of computers/internet connections will not be able to handle it (I know mine couldn't, sob). But it'll probably be great for the future! And there's so much difference between the shots with fast horizontal movement O: Nice!

3yrs later and I am finally upgrading my 5S to a 6S. $120 new from my carrier. I really just wanted the 4k video as it's better than my 5S for capturing worthy content of the kids. I have a Sony RX10M3 ,RX100M1 and 4k Panasonic VX870. At least my pocket cam can finally shoot 4k.

***** Well we have 1080p dispays since several years now. My first Xperia Z had 1080p and still they only manage to put it into the 6plus? Also 1080p is outdated I got a1440p display with more details, also more ram, better battery, replacable battery, and expandable storage. Only thing we could argue is better with iPhones is maybe the rage of phone cases on the market.

+taengplz Just depends on what feels right in your hands, I think. I like the 6s Plus because I can type better on it than on the other ones, though the 6s feels lighter and more portable. The 6s Plus is sometimes hard to fit into pockets.

How does this compare to other cameras you use?

+Silver Tassel Faster autofocus for video mode, for sure. We use a Sony A7s primarily for video, and the iPhone isn't anywhere close to it for nighttime shots, but the Sony doesn't shoot internal 4K. I'm also not overfond of the iPhone's color, but I think that can be fixed in editing.
