Another angle on this low tech way of assessing speed on opening apps is the router, surely it's a test of that as well on it's ability to process two requests at the same time from two pieces of kit!.

Just press harder on the pictures taken by camera in iphone 6s and you will see them moving in the gallery . It is the 3D touch that is making photos move. Photos are called Live photos.

These app opening tests are absolutely pointless. As a developer writing software for both platforms using different languages we can't use the same code base, and startup times aren't the least bit important to us. As for multitasking, I'm sorry but Androids memory management has always been poor. iOS has always been able to give you as much virtual memory as available storage space. Developers working with both platforms know perfectly well which device is the best. The speed difference is night and day.

(graphics processor unit) and a better cpu (central processing unit). More RAM really doesn't affect performance on a higher res screen much (if any) at all.

It is about making something work. No good coming up with an idea and making a mess of it. When you do something like Apple does and spends years refining it, it works. Who knows how long Apple have been developing 3D Touch and Moving Photos? Just because someone brings it to the market half cooked before Apple doesn't mean they are the innovators, it is more likely they wanted to try and beat Apple in the PR game. Tell me one innovation on the Samsung S6, and that does not mean it has finally got a premium chassis or the screen (as I have an s5 with that resolution screen)?

I don't get why this video can have half and half likes (if we imagine that a thousand is from Apple fans and a thousand is from Samsung fans) because the iPhone is obviously faster and smother (camera test...this is more about what the user likes) but it seems to be the Samsung fans just aren't capable to admit that. It's true the RAM management isn't very good especially with Touchwiz. Samsung needs to take the time and better optimize the main issue before they proceed with making new features. People are willing to wait for new features if they can get faster performance and better battery life. Start by trimming Touchwiz again and deleting some of that bloatware.

both good phones but your test bit of a fail. if you look at the video you press first with your left finger/hand than your right hand. The speed test would be more accurate if you use a timer (timer) from the time you press on the app or turn the phones on.
