Talking on my dads 8 plus, it’s a maxed out model he bought in 2017 when it was first released. It’s still on top condition, and the 256gb storage is 96% full😂. He is upgrading to a 15, I’m gonna be taking his 8 plus which is still good

I got my young teenage daughter one used, her first phone and it works great it’s fully functioning, the battery health is at 77 percent the only drawback, but only paid $130 for it and for the money I think it’s a steal as it operates smoothly. If it lasts a year or two I’ll figure I’ve gotten my moneys worth.

I’ve got this phone as a backup right now until I get a 14 Plus for Christmas. It’s surprisingly reliable, it never crashed when using Pocket (procreate mobile) and I only have to charge it once on most days (not counting plugging it in at night), which is personally not that bad to me atm

@@jayjaytv2563 Sure, but its biggest downsides would be the battery life and not being able to update to the latest OS. The 14 blew me away and made me realize that the battery life on my 8 Plus was rather mediocre compared to phones nowadays. As long as you don’t plan on using it for more than 5-6 hours heavily and don’t care about any future updates, it would serve great, but if you really care about those, a Plus/Max version of any iPhone after the X like an XS Max would be extraordinary

The iPhone 8 Plus can still indeed have software. I’m using my iPhone 8 plus right now and it has iOS 16.72. which is still pretty decent for being a six year old phone. Even a newer iPhones like the 13 and 14 I wouldn’t recommend getting iOS 17 because it’s very laggy and it can interfere with the phones performance

It sure is still worth it because I’m currently using the 8plus right now watching this and commenting lol I really think it’s worth buying and testing out for those who can’t buy the newer ones but want a iPhone still because most people don’t really like the newer iPhones design but they always say how they miss the home button

It's not as good as iPhone 6S Plus, but it is the last 5.5 inch iPhone with a 'home button'. While it's stuck on iOS16 most apps still support that version and should do for another approx 12 months.

Yup, Im coming from a 6plus, I gotta say the 8plus is waaay faster, screen is much better en fingerprint is faster. The 6plus feels more sturdy but thats about it. Im glad I upgraded. Got one "new" the 64GB model, for just 230,- and I will prob use this as my back up for another 2 years, if it wont last ,I'll switch to the green 11pro max or 13pro max. My main phone is still a galaxy s10+ which is still a beast and still good battery. But it will become a green s23 ultra by the end of this month.

My wife uses it as her backup phone. The battery life is non existent. Very glitchy. But it gets the job done. If you only use it for Google maps and phone calls/texts then it's a decent option. Otherwise I wouldn't suggest.

this is the phone im using rn since my parents took my main phone... anyways i got it to the highest ios that it can run which i think is ios 16.5.4 or sum like that and it still runs all the apps i use like instagram snapchat etc etc the battery life is not the best but its not that big of a deal this phone runs and serves me my purpose
