I have an iPhone 8 and it still works great in 2024. Most apps still work fine, even on current versions. Although I'm sure by 2025 it will lose support for most apps.

I got it for free form someone that thought it was useless, I disassembled it, bought a high capacity battery for it and GG, this phone now has like 12+ hours of active use which is like 3 more than what I get with my 15 pro-

I’ve always imagined what if Apple made an iPhone SE+. Since the iPhone SE is just an iPhone 8 body. I’m sure they’d have iPhone 8 Plus bodies left over that they could use. Honestly that would be amazing and I reckon it would sell pretty well.

@@Lolllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzz It’s because of the price. Since the 14 and 15 pro were close enough to the price of plus series phones most people went for the pro instead. I feel since the SE series of phones are fairly priced this might make it a good option for people.

I bought mine for $20 and it's been my youtube/netflix/podcast/music player for the last few months. It's been saving my regular phone's battery from having to charge so much.

​@@GrandMaster_99, it was a lucky ebay find. According to the listing the screen wasn't the original one so it didn't have Tru display working. I haven't really noticed it, but then again I usually have it stuck in my pocket while I'm using it.

Hi, I have an 8 Plus. It works perfectly. I've taken great care of it. It's really like new. Do I need to get a newer phone? If so, why? I hate getting rid of things that work really well. I can absolutely afford a new device but I'm just someone who doesn't need to have the latest tech and like to keep things that are working just fine. (Example: I have a Toyota RAV4 2007 with over 200K miles on it. It is completely trouble free and still looks good. I can afford to buy a car for cash but hate getting rid of things that work!)

I’ve owned this phone for 4 years and wanted something bigger than the 6 in terms of screen size but wound up also getting more memory with 128 GB as well in comparison to the 32 GB that my 6 had. My battery capacity is at 73% in August 2024 and I’ve owned this phone since July 2020 which also was the first phone I ever purchased as my previous 6 were Christmas presents or in the case of the 4 that one was given to me from my dad as a starter phone when I switched carriers from Verizon to Straight Talk.

never buy old iphones if youre expecting app dev to support the oldest ios version. it would still be good this year or next year but after that ios wont be supported by app devs. theres no work around like on android where you could download app apk for specific android versions. apple are only great if you buy them brandnew cause if you like to keep phones for 6 to 7 yrs you would use the most out of it. they might work 8 to 10yrs in some instances but you would have to let it go theres no work around😂
