I wish they had shortcut keys to mimic the swipe, command+right arrow key for instance to do the swipe right or command+left arrow key to do the swipe left. I use an external keyboard and mouse with my laptop closed using external monitors so would be nice not to use a trackpad to do the swipe actions. I understand you can hold down the mouse button and move left or right to do the swipes but shortcut keys would be much easier to work with.

It can be resized via View menu. Wish he would have demoed the 3 sizes and dragged around like you said. I have 2 widgets on right side and hope a small phone mirror will fit under the widgets leaving rest of screen for Safari.

I think you forgot to add you can change the view as small , actual size or large. which helps you to view your iPhone in any size you wish.

Good morning, Having an iPhone mirroring issue ever since launch in beta 3. Both my phone 15 pro max and MacBook Air m2 are on beta 4. and I only get the outline of my phone on my Mac. Very frustrating. Any suggestions on getting this to work?

Hmm. Not anything specific. You can do the usual restarts and resets or hold off til the next beta. Make sure you file a radar with Apple!

yes, it is a separate app and acts like one. It's not baked into the OS like the Continuity features you mention.

The performance is terrible on my M1 Pro 16" and 15 Plus. Even simply swiping pages takes several seconds. I do love getting the phone notifications on the Mac, and that is nearly instantaneous.

pointless app...want to get rid of the whole app and cant..and because I cant every time my Mac goes to screen saver I have to enter the f....g password option to disable is greyed out cos this iPhone mirroring app on sequoia......grrrrrrr

M1 Mac Mini and iPhone SE running iOS 18 beta. Keeps saying "try again"... Here's an addendum to that...I just found out that you need to have Passcode Enabled, some of us who are the only user don't. Seems to work fine once thats done.

Mirroring isn't nearly as useful or productive as advertised. Every time you use it, you have to unlock your phone (there's no option to disable that), and that's after a significant pause after you click Connect on the Mac. Then, maybe you'll get in or more than likely it'll say the phone is in use. So, with all that delay and messing about, you might as well just use the phone instead of when it finally gets mirrored to the Mac.

I don’t have a AirPlay monitor and it was mirroring In iOS 17 and now it does not. Apple, get your chit together. All my settings are correct and my iPad still doesn’t detect my monitor. I made a big mistake installing iOS 18.0.1. - useless !!!👎😏I liked the way iOS 17 played saved videos better too, it completely sucks now. You’ve ruined my iPad and my life Apple !!!🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
