the SE is a great deal, $300 from most carriers, its a better phone. the 7nm chip is fast, it has Wifi6, & i can tell you with my ubuntu home network, i get 500MB/s speeds on it, that kind of speed on an iphone, or any mobile device is insane.

Better screen and battery for the 8 plus and better processor and software life on the SE. But the 8 plus is still just as fast in everyday use and will still get 3 years of support. Plus you can find it cheaper than the SE. I'd rather get the 8 plus.

Get a used iPhone X. You get the best camera and a form factor that’s right between each phone, and the OLED screen not in either of these. And you get FACE ID, which isn’t in either of these as well.

SE battery is just so bad. I returned it (was new) and kept my 8 plus, the 8P camera is much better also. The newer chip in the SE 2020 is great but the small battery drains faster because of it, bad move Apple.

Although the battery may suck on the new iPhone se I’ll just get a battery case for it cause who wants old software plus I have small hands so what the heck 🤷🏽‍♀️ I still have the old iPhone se and I just put it in power save mode and it lasted me half the day or the whole day sometimes. A11 Chip and A13 on speed test is not much difference only a few Seconds slower. The 8 plus is the better phone for me bigger 🔋 Battery, big Screen and dual cameras. Im a heavy user do that SE would be ok the charger alot.

Yet you neglected to tell people about the issues 8plus has. Mother board goes out very frequently and can't be fixed. Screen constantly cracks. Once it's fixed there goes the mother board. You'll lose the capability of taking pictures, answering calls, making calls(well being able to hear). The charging port is trash too.

the a13 makes it compelling, and it would b perfect for a child or someone with small hands. but for me, it’s just too damn small. i can’t consume my content comfortably on a screen THAT small. gaming, video watching, i mean, if all i did was text, facetime, and send snaps, it’d b just fine. but for someone who actually watches videos and movies on their phones sometimes, i just need something bigger. the 8 plus is big enough for those needs. it’s not unweildy or anything, i can comfortably reach all 4 corners of the screen with one hand, i came from the iphone 11 so i can’t say it’s the perfect size iphone, but it’s definitely closer than the SE is.

i'm so torn. i have 0 complaints about the 8 plus and would recommend it to anyone; there's been a tiny change in battery life, but it's so minimal that i've barely noticed it. i hate to upgrade a phone until it stops working. however, i have small hands, so the 8 plus has been a pain (literally) lately... plus, whenever i eventually upgrade, i really want touchID and a few other features that none of the newer/bigger phones have. is it worth it?? i can get the SE for $200 with a trade-in. help

Makenna Vick I’m trading in my 8+ I’ve had since 2017. Getting the SE 2020. I wanted Touch ID, and a smaller/lighter device. The 8+ is a tough beast with a mous or otter box, takes any drop, no cracks. But nothing worse than dropping it on your face when you’re reading in bed haha! We’ll see if I like the single camera vs 2 but I didn’t want to spring for the x or 11, the price is right for the se.

Writing this comment on the iphone se 2020, i came from a 7+ because i also have smaller hands and would like to navigate the phone with one hand. Stretching my thumb across the screen and sometimes still not reaching is really uncomfortable. Iphone se is compact and def fits in one hand perfectly.

Hey, I would say you can easily go with the new SE. I got one myself, had the 11 pro and before that 11 pro Max. Frankly the only thing I’m missing at times is the wide angle lens, other than that no regrets. The size is perfect and Touch ID is a relief in these days we all wearing masks, try using Apple Pay with Face ID these days 😉. The battery gets me easily through day (much better than iPhone 8) and the camera shoots amazing photos. Couldn’t tell any difference to my 11 pro, except night mode of course.

I would say 6 hours battery on 8 plus today .. I heard the SE 2020 is only 4 hours on screen time .. that’s what I’ve always hated about the smaller phones battery life isn’t all that good and I hate smaller phones ..
