iPhone SE Screen Repair using a iPhone 5s Screen

This video shows if the iPhone 5s screen works on the new iPhone SE. Everything does plugin however the screen quality is not clear with a iPhone 5s screen on a iPhone SE.

Only thing wrong with using 5S screen is....their proximity sensor is not compatible with SE model....so when you are making a phone call and you cover the sensor (with your face), it's suppose to turn the screen dark but 5S sensor will not work and the screen will stay on....if you are able, make sure you are purchasing a screen specifically for SE...or transfer the whole sensor assembly over.

Screen itself it identical from SE to 5S. Only difference is the proximity sensor/front camera assembly. Make sure you transfer over or if you are buying a complete kit that comes with the assembly, you have to insist on screen for SE or if you buy the 5S one, transfer the assembly over from the old one.

almost all of the hardware between the iphone 5s and iphone SE 2016 is the exact same however, apple went out of their way to swap the male and female connectors on most of the parts just to generate more e waste and sk rew every one over. this includes the battery, the camera, and i believe the lower speaker/microphone/headphonejack assembly. the connectors have the same pins and everything but voila, the iphone SE 2016 battery for example has the same plug on it as the iphone 5S motherboard which accepts the battery... so you can ironically connect a 5S and a SE battery together if you wanted and probably short circuit them lol. I wish someone made an adaptor or something it would be really simple and probably fit in most cases

Is the screen quality the same at least as the iphone 5s, or does using a 5s screen on an SE make the screen quality worse than it is on a 5s?

lancerooke if you put an aftermarket 5s screen on the SE it will have vertical lines but if you put an OEM 5s screen on the SE it will look like a normal se screen

hi! thnak you for this tutorial, it worked just fine with my SE. but, it seems to be a problem with the battery now :( i guess i did something wrong with the assembling and now the battery drops in just minutes lol u think tgis was my fault or maybe the battery just died. (i havent used this phone almost for a year) thank you!

i dont think this has anything to do with you repair. if you would have damaged the battery during the repair it would have completely died. sorry for late reply

Please please help me.. Today I take my iPhone se on a local service center for change my phone's bettery because it was dead, but everything on my phone was 100℅ ok except bettery. Then my bettery was successfully changed but the man who was servicing my phone he told me that my phone's display is also stop working and then he changed display with a new one, the new one was opening then I told him to recheck my original display it was still dead but I checked my display before I came to that shop and it was 100% ok.. And what do u thik? that my original display is really dead? But it was working before I came to that shop.. please reply
