I got a weird problem, where my iphone is connected to my wifi in the settings, but no icon in the top right corner. As a result I have no Internet connection. :(

Thank you a lot Fix369 I was facing a weird problem. Apple Music, App Store and safari was not working while using Wifi. Same were running smoothly in cellular. The problem was existing even after factory reset of iPhone and wifi router. The apple support failed to solve the issue. Even though online forums were useless. Changing of DNS settings worked for me. Thank you once again.

i updated from 15 to 16.2.1 wifi caput -- only reason i did it is because of the the airpod pro 2 required for connection. I had to turn off vpn and do the dns and it is back up. Thanks I was extremely unhappy.

I'm facing another weird problem and couldn't find an explanation anywhere: When I connect to a public network (lets say in an Airport), the login screen never pops-up. My phone connects to the wifi, but with no connection because I can't login on their system. Is there a way to fix it?

Sometimes authentication is via web browser. It will direct you to the airport authentication page enter a username/pass or your phone number (depends on the system). Then once successful it will give you limited internet access (maybe only web access).

Somehow my DNS was set to manual and changing it back to automatic was the fix for me. Either way appreciate the lead. (Also dumb tip but sometimes it happens--make sure your date is set correctly. Candy crush got mf'ers rolling the clock back for livessss.

I don’t understand how u even tap on settings and WiFi and it doesn’t take 6-8 seconds to open! iOS 16 is the worst update EVER!!! Text messages even hangs up. And yes I have wiped settings and even wiped everything and started from scratch! Sometimes takes 10 minutes to find any WiFi in a new area…..and I will be looking at the WiFi modem!
