iPhone X Battery Connector Replacement

In this video I will demonstrate how to remove and replace the battery connector/terminal on an iPhone X. This iPhone X battery connector was damaged during a prior repair attempt. We were able to resolve another issue with it during a recent livestream. I'll post the rest of the repair once the video has been edited.

I have to replace this on my ip12pm when the conn gets here in the Philippines. Should I use a higher heat since the board is thicker? I changed the rear camera fpc on a 6p and used low melt paste in place of regular solder and it settled in real nice but that was my first and last connector I’ve tried. Nice video thanks.

You might want to add some leaded solder/paste there as well. It takes some heat but too much and the top board will start to lift from the interposer and then you have a new problem.

@@GoCellPhoneRepair def take a lot of heat even to melt 183c solder paste. Soon as I hit the connector with that heat it shriveled up. I’ll try just my tiny solder micro tip and low melt leaded solder. 450c seems to get the very tip just hot enough to melt the solder on the tracks. Thanks!

One of the small pins of my connector damaged accidentially, resulting that my battery do not charge and do not shows battery health percentage, can replacing tha connector fix this ? Please reply Regards

It should. Without the battery SWI connection the charger cannot communicate with the battery.

For this repair I use 430C @ 35 liters per minute. This may vary depending on your equipment.
