Why do you need to flash the screen rom?

To remain true tone functionality. When you use another screen, you have to reflash the serial number which was paired to the previous (destroyed) screen. If you don't you lose true tone functionality.

To restore the True Tone function, we used the programmer to read/write the screen data.

$200 is not a lot when you are doing this all the time. This programmer saves lots of time im glad they show it off

@@belikebro358 They unbind Ic with machine, thats what its for. In this case, it took them less than one minute to unbind IC with box, but this isn't like common repair. When repairing wifi on iphone the WIFI needs to be unbound from the NAND which requires also desoldering the nand, reprograming it, then putting it back on the phone. Also to unbind wifi on nand need special machine, which costs over $200. The machine is great, saves time and is not expensive. I don't think the money is wasted, you need a programmer for wifi if you are serious about repair and this one is the best one so far.
