I am using a Qianli iCopy Plus 2.1 and I am trying to perform battery data correction on an Iphone XR battery. When I connect the XR battery to the iCopy Plus Board, I can see the green LED light (connect) comes on to say that there is connection. But when I click 'READ' on the Qianli Repair Helper Software, I keep getting the message "the battery data is not charged. Please insert the battery". So the iCopy is not reading the battery. Do you know why this could be? Thank you.

Hi Matthew, this happens because you didn’t activate your battery. To activate the battery you can plug it to the iPhone and charge it for 1 minute (as seen in the video). After that, you can reset your battery data. For iPhone XR battery if you use iCopy Plus 2.1 you can avoid to use QianLi software: connect the battery to iCopy and wait that battery data is read, then keep pressed for few seconds “READ” and then for few seconds “WRITE”. You will obtain a 100% and 0 cycles battery

this method can work with no-OEM batteries which have a higher capacity? Should modify the mAh values on QIANLI? if not, the battery can work without issues and not affecting the battery life? thanks in advance

Hi, we don't recommend to do this with higher capacity battery cells. The original BMS should work with same original specific parameters. If not, for sure you could face some issues (for example maybe the % of battery life show is not true). So we suggest you to use a same as original mAh new battery

Thanks for the great video, I did this on iPhone xs but it shows battery error message after swapping the BMS and changing the cycle and efficiency values. How can I solve this please? Will a factory reset of iPhone xs help?

Hi, you forgot maybe to connect to the iPhone the copy battery before then the original one (step 5) We recommend you to factory reset with a non genuine battery, activate iPhone, wait for the “error message” and only after it, install the new genuine battery.

@@armza9975 hi friend, we mean “new not genuine battery”. It must appears the error message. This is needed to reset the read of the % and cycles battery on the phone. If you don’t do that, you will continue to see the old % and cycles battery, even if you modified it with software.

Salve Una domanda Avendo preso un iPhone XR ricondizionato e non monta una batteria originale Apple ma una commerciale da il messaggio di errore. Io ho acquistato un altra batteria commerciale e tramite il programma 3Utools sono riuscito a trovare il vecchio seriale della batteria originale Apple sono riuscito a copiare il seriale sulla nuova batteria però mi da ancora il messaggio di errore perché?

Buonasera, ahimè non è sufficiente riscrivere il seriale originale al fine di non far comparire il messaggio d’errore. Fosse così semplice verrebbe meno la necessità di effettuare lo swap della BMS originale 😉 Affinché non compaia messaggio d’errore è necessaria la BMS originaria di quel device con, ovviamente, il suo relativo seriale originale. Speriamo di esserti stati d’aiuto 💪🏼

Hi, once you power on the device with power supply it show the battery error message? If not, you have to wait that the “important message battery” show on your device. More: if you connect the new battery with original BMS to icopy, it show you the new calibration data (I guess 100% and 0 cycles) or the old one?

@@e-pol it already shows the notification. And it reads 100% battery health and 0 cycles on the qianli. But after i installed it on the iphone after the power supply test. It will change the battery health to 85 instead of 100 The original battery health is 79 before the repair

Hi, this work also with iPhone 11 but it will fix only the error message. The % battery health will not be fixed with this method. From iPhone 11 you need to add a special flex. We did a video also for 11 series. You can find it in our channel.
