Excellent comparision...lg v40 with more punchy colors and wide angle appeals a bit more...coming to potrait mode installing Gcam on v40 and its game over for XR...XR takes great photos though

I have both phones currently & my v40s camera looks wat better . my v40 is way more vivid & pop. The xr look more faded to me.

Yeah the iphone has more of a flat warmer look. Some artists like that look and it may help with a bit of color grading to make it pop

I like the LG 40's pictures more (rear) but the front facing camera on the LG v40 sucks in low light xD But I think I will still prefer the LG V40 just coz I like having options like a wide-angle camera xD Thanks for the comparison xD That video test was awesome coz it was snowing and it's a really good test to use for the phones xD Good thing both are water resistant hahaha xD Great job as always

Iphone XR is good for auto user. I'm a manual user so I prefer to explore LG v40. I believe you can rid of blown highlights of the photo if you turn on the HDR of camera setting of your LG v40 .

It's amazing how everyone forgets about the LG's superb manual mode and how it can nail it every time if you use it and if you put Gcam on LG, iphone is no where near to the the quality then

Camera on V40 is better. Post process and software correction on XR is better (it show in night scene and portrait mode). It's really a shame DXOMark haven't revieed the V40 yet.

Bud, you have access toball these awesome & beautiful phones, and all you do is compare the cameras. Why not get your life togethet and by a proper canon. Or Panasonic camera and move on? If youre so concerned with details' get yourself a truly excellent machine and get creative.

I do have the Panasonic GH5 as my main camera and Sony a7iii for work. if I'm comparing phone cameras, why not only use their cameras to create a video about them? I've been restricting myself with phones cameras and it forces me to get more creative while doing cinematics and know their strengths and weaknesses on each phone. Why should I waste your time to see GH5 video when I can use that same time to show more test footage on the phone camera?

@@danielsin yeah. I was mostly joking.. I just got bored with the strictly camera focus. You do have the opportunity for each sets of phones to make a 2nd non camera comparison video. Maybe with a feature focus, display and sound comparisons followed by an app opening race. Worth it for views. If i had the time, i would.

Johann Nyam Hymore it's cool. I know I can make a general overview which I'm planning on doing on the future. I still have to structure my videos and find a way to stand out since I'm a small KZbinr. It will take time but one day I'll find the right way to do it
