Try cleaning out your port with a toothpick before performing this repair. My charger kept slipping out and I found about an ounce of compressed dust stuck inside the port. It took about 20 mins to clean out all of the dust but it was worth it.

@@riq6354 I've read that the OEM iphone charging port has "a thermalmoniord sensor" that the phone looks for. If it doesn't see that, it restarts every 3 minutes like my Xs. Have you figured out your problem? I'm looking to buy an OEM charging port.

@@razziade yeah i was looking for an OEM charging port for that exact reason. My phone started working perfectly fine by itself after 5 days so i never had to replace it

She wants to toss it, but it’s brand new. It does charge, but reboots every 3 minutes. It’s my toy now so I wanna try changing the charging port. I have an iPhone 7 with a cracked screen so if I can get the Xs fixed, that would be cool. Anyway, you lucked out with your phone.
