For several reasons but the biggest is we lock in on a place then we start thinking, "What if a better deal pops up tomorrow?" 😅 We decided to just list out a few places we absolutely want to go and just book those when they pop up. How do you deal with all that awful heat & humidity?

Good question. Used to it I guess. We've been in SE Asia almost 6 months. When tend to go out when it's not peak heat too so early morning & late afternoon. When we are caught outside it's trips 7 mins or less unless we're taking transportation somewhere. Plus everywhere has AC blasting which is nice 😂

@TheDetourDuo No, I'm afraid it isn't. There're a lot of restaurants & hawker stalls on the side of the road that only use fans. We were invited to go to some of them, but my Malay wife had to decline because she knew that the humidity had a bad effect on me.

Yeah, hawker stations and markets won't have AC but are shaded with fans. For us, that wasn't bad at all. But most the places, especially the restaurants we stopped at, had AC. Maybe we got lucky

Yeah we had heard that prior to coming here so we were somewhat prepared for it.

It's basically just really chilled beer. They freeze the mugs but they must do something else too because the foam freezes and almost turns into snow

What makes you guys pick where you travel???

Great question and honestly we don't know the answer. This entire trip in particular we just knew we wanted to explore Southeast Asia. Thailand was our first stop and then it was supposed to be Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Malaysia. We needed to renew Sara's visa and I needed a new drone. Both were easier to get in Malaysia so we switched out plans to head there. Most of our travel plans to this point have been spur of the moment. "Oh something cool is happening here and it's cheap. Let's go there" is more or less the motto 😅
