But he highlighted that people with close family/ friends or had kids had a full recovery or in the case of dislocated spinal disc some reported that they felt better a few weeks before surgery. He also cited people who had low salt intake, exercised or jogged regularly and people who had a balanced protein and plant based diet saw full recovery surgery often.

They told me there was a chance I wouldn’t be able to workout or play sports again and your risk of arthritis increases drastically. Sometimes I think that I should’ve done it because women tend to write me off immediately. However, I started dieting and exercising regularly and that all changed. You don’t need surgery to be confident, you just need to be dedicated to something and good at it (that will come later). As a 5'8 dude that has been genuinely dreaming about the surgery, thanks for this video! My biggest problem with it is the fact that I would somewhere within myself feel like I caved in to some really effed up expectations and attitudes in our society. And how could I tell my kids someday to be okay with themselves as they are when I cut my own legs to meet a height expectation. And other big problem is that with all these surgeries that are becoming more normalised as you said, that is where the standard and expectation is shifting. There will always be an average height, we will only be raising it artificially and collectively f***ing ourselves over by doing so. We are not changing our genetics, only our appearances. So our kids will have to deal with the stupid society and expectations we built, to be more "superhuman" than our genetics. The way a new generation always rebels agains the values of the previous one, I am willing to make a prediction right now. Once we in the coming decades reach a point where all this is waaayy too much, normalised and expected, and we can change waaayy more things about ourselves, then we will eventually have a generational pushback to all this finally. That will be the rebellion of a new generation who don't want to carry on with this nonsense. Be natural will mean something again. Maybe we will have it sooner and in a milder way if we come to our senses about all this stuff before things go way out of hand.

Even for the elderly why walk around with a cane if you can enhance your spine or knees why suffer blurry vision if you can fix your eyes easily. After medical purposes are normal aesthetics come next imagine when we unlock gene manipulation and biochemistry someone with a weak jaw could literal have liquid bone fill in their skull to fix a recessed jaw or reactivate the paruitary gland causing people to grow a few inches or stimulate fat growth in specific parts of the body like breasts. Problem is most women these days to seem to want to be in love. Atleast thats what i feel like as a young male living in the west. When dating i always ran into women with ridiculous standard. wanted tall, rich men with their own mortgages and cars etc. Lucky for me during lockdowns in the uk i started learning to speak russian and met a lovely russian girl whos now my fiancee, shes signficantly taller then me by about 4 inches and we have never let size get in the way. Love isnt about the aesthetic things its about the heart and soul (cringey i know, but very true). This girl is going to be my wife someday shes just always on my mind and every day i see videos like this or discussions about western women standards i start to understand how blessed i am.

11:00 what he was trying to say but failed to was that he's tired of compensating. He's short so he probably had to act overconfident to distract others from his height so he can be treated equally. Imagine being ugly and introverted, sitting at a table alone wont get u laid but if you were handsome and introverted you'd be seen as mysterious and get alot of approaches. They get rid of the insecurity so they no longer have to try to do something out of thier confort zone to make up for it. Thats what they mean by they are now thier true self. They no longer have to fake confidence, approachability, etc.

I’m 5’6’’ and the insecurity I had about my height was the biggest cockblock. Once I overcame that, I did not struggle at all with women. Sure, there are girls that prefer taller men, but there are also girls don’t really don’t care so long as you come across as confident. Funny looking back thinking I would never have any success with girls because I was short when all I had to do was hit the gym, leave my comfort zone and actually talk to girls. In a relationship for three years now with someone I definitely would’ve thought I had no chance with when I was insecure.

I’m 5’7” and when I was younger it was my biggest insecurity. I’ve learned to deal with it and focus on all of the good things I was blessed with. I’m happy being me. Sure being a little taller would be nice in the dating pool, but besides that there are some benefits to being on the shorter side. Such as having plenty of leg room everywhere and a generally longer lifespan than our taller counterparts. I wouldn’t mind being a couple inches taller, that would be great. My dad is 5’10” and that would be my ideal height. But not the way that this guy did it. His body is now disproportional and he will almost certainly have issues later in life due to this cosmetic surgery. PLUS the fact that this dude didn’t actually confront and overcome his insecurity, he buckled to it and spent $100k and a year of recovery to get around it. That doesn’t build character. That lets cowardice win.

For the record, there are both women who like short guys, and women who don't care. Personally I never cared about height, it was always about personality. My boyfriend just happens to be 6'3, and I enjoy the benefits of that, but if he was a full on midget, I would enjoy the benefits of that as well. It's all about personality and having one that matches your body. If a short guy is confident about it then that's all that matters.

Thank you for mentioning grooming! I use plastic surgery to fix things that got broken. After nursing my 3 kids, I got a boob job and they’re better than ever. My concern is that in certain communities, like Utah County, post oart boob jobs are 21:36 expected, and having flat saggy torture is the same as having jacked up crooked brown teeth. It makes me sad that someday my Neisse might go under the knife because I set that expectation, although I think they fit my body and the only people who know they’re fake are the ones who have seen the scars. I’m glad you are addressing this because as a society, things are going TOO far, and as a society, we 100% reward superficiality and selfishness and people are risking their health to advance… or just to feel like they fit in ❤

Or…. You’re going to get the surgery, I support you, then leave me, because if I find you attractive as you are, then what are you trying to attract. Setting the whole confidence debate aside. Going through an experimental procedure like that is insane. The physical risks alone are not worth it. Risk during the surgery, risk of infection after, the sheer ammount of pain and rehab you're gonna have to endure, as well as the medication you have to tak for years after. All of that to have a 2 weakened legs that have been broken on purpose (we have NO IDEA about the long term risk of that btw, which will probaly include early onset osteoporosis). Also, the center of gravity has been moved up so his balance and proprioception are probably all messed up, as well as the muscle insertions that have to endure extra pressure from the unnatural muscle length. The sheer ammount of things that can go wrong in the long term is mind breaking.
