Funnily enough, for anyone who has any experience on Bumble. Most women open with something like "Hi" or "Hey" or "How are you" (all initial messages that would be incredibly weak for men to use on other apps and likely will not result in a response) and then immediately shuck the rest of the conversational burden onto the man.

It’s supposed to be lol the feminism that so many women claim today is not the feminism that made up the women’s suffrage movement. There was a time it did a lot of good for people. But now it’s become something heinous & it’s only hurting people, male & female alike. They are destroying all of the progress we made, as well as reversing the flow of progress. I don’t get it. It’s like they can’t rationalize that there’s bad people that will hurt you out there, regardless of gender. To them it’s just women good, men bad. But I know women who are exactly what feminists claim all men to be. Abusers, manipulators, liars, cheaters, etc. that’s just HUMANS. Some bad, some good. That’s life lol But they can’t see this for some reason. Also, she said men who don’t make the first move are fuckboys but to me that just says they’re scared to b/c women have the power in those situations. I made the first move on my husband, turns out he’d been madly in love with me for 2 years & we’ve now been together 10 lol he’s a literal saint & the opposite of a fuck boy. So I’m just super offended by feminist rhetoric lol Plus I was raised by my father who had to be mom & dad while working full time. I’m sorry to rant, I’m just “triggered” as they say 😂 I was going to have a simple reply to your comment agreeing but the dam broke, I get pretty emotional about this topic lol The men in my life, my dad & husband, are the two people who made me who I am & they’re who I’d go to war for, the most important people in my life. But, more importantly, my “speech” is b/c I would hate for men to forget that there are SO MANY women who support you & love you as human beings & understand your struggles too. And this is all coming from a minority, liberal, woman. The radicals try to divide everything & make everyone think just b/c you’re this you have to believe that, etc. When really there’s bad people on every side & the good people would probably agree on a lot of things if we actually spoke. Hope all is well for you & I hope you don’t mind my perspective, even if it did get a little off track 😂

Only if it’s inconvenient for women. Feminism was never about equality for most people, remember that.

Funny story. A friend of mine suggested I try Bumble a while back cause I told her I didn't wanna be bothered trying to talk to girls anymore. I laughed when she told me about the dynamic of how it worked cause I already knew my inbox was likely to be a ghost town. You can be smart, good looking, goal-oriented, etc. whatever. Most men still know that women rarely make the approach on AND offline. I made the account with a completely satirical bio. Probably a given, but my inbox was indeed empty AF (lol). The best thing I did was set my expectations to not expect much of anything and just have fun. This allowed me to leave with a smile and my dignity instead of disappointment and another blow to my self-esteem. Bumble like all other dating apps are a joke so I treated it exactly as such.

@@marlom7882 I'm jumping out on a limb here and please correct t me if a m wrong but I assume the reason you are depressed is because you have recently learned that you have been fed lies your entire life and can not figure out how to actually fulfill that false reality. We've all been there. But there is another side to this coin I call the poker theory. Sometimes you are dealt a shifty hand you can either fold or play anyway. However you only play when you can see a weakness in your opponent's strategy. You use that weakness against them. Maybe in past hands they bet high when they have good cards but bet weak when they want you to think they have good cards so they take minimal risk while bluffing you. So you call that bluff by bluffing them. You don't ask for the rules to be changed to suit your situation you just play the game as it is. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Either way there will always be a new hand as long as you keep playing. Its the exact same principle with dating. You have to see it for what it is. A game. Sometimes you have good hand most of the time its a shitty hand. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. And sometimes you have to bullshit to get to the top. When you win a hand you don't give some of your winnings back to your opponent. Fuck him. This is your game now.

Try being indifferent instead of caring. Not out of spite but because you are a busy and fruitful man that has to much on his plate thean to be bothered with the fickle ways of females. Now it is normal for women to feel anxiety around how much their man “wants” them which is why I think she is not gelling with the app, it forcefully places her in a scenario, where she has to express her wants first (making yourself out to be the more interested one is a place of weakness for both genders). "If it's so easy, why can't guys do it?!" Well, they do it every-fucking-where else. Don't use Bumble if the one feature that makes it "special" is something you don't want. Stay in the other 9000 dating app options. It's basically like saying close down all the gay bars because I'm not gay and I don't want to be with men. It's so funny when women want the most unique and special messages, all the while no info in their profile that you could actually base anything on and when it's their turn to say something, first or not, they have absolutely nothing to say. It's also funny how she complains about "I don't want to be with someone who doesn't put in the work... If he can't develop the basic human interaction skills... If he can't approach a person he doesn't know and say hello, what do you think that relationship is going to be like". The irony is so god damn thick in the air, considering that's what can be true the other way around as well. She's basically complaining about the things she doesn't want to do if men don't do them. These people want everything and give nothing. It's kind of sad that women don't even understand how hard men have it on dating apps etc. The inequality of features and power, I showed women the male side of the apps and they were baffled by the difference. Even the women looking for serious relationships think men have it easy there and they are completely ignorant to all these things because they don't have to think about it. Women seem to think every man has it at least as easy to get dates as they do. Also fun fact: The moment you mentioned police at the end I heard sirens go by outside.

PATHETHIC And the inequality with dating apps is so true! Men legit have to pay for all dating apps to even get anywhere. A woman can go on their for free and get 100+ likes a day. Simple. When you only view the top 20% of men on dating apps of course you would have this delusional perspective of "men having it easy." Why bother with a profile bio when you know Chad is on his way to be at your DMs regardless? And once you're done with Chad you still got Tyrone and Carlos on their hit list. Notice how I didn't say her hit list? Yes she might think she's winning if she got dudes she actually like hitting her DMs and stroking her ego but once they fuck he's off to the next one. That's fuckboy 101 and it amazes me, with all the studies of dating apps either women do not care or they're completely oblivious to their own nature. They want you to type something quirky while getting their back blown by the guy who didn't even have to try.

Basically. I’m a traditional woman and I have no shame. I refuse to let feminists confuse me about what I want out of life. I’ve been upfront with guys about the type of relationship that I want: I would like to have the opportunity to stay home the first few years of after giving birth before returning to work which means that my partner would have to be ok with being the provider. It’s not for everyone and that’s ok. But feminists shame you into thinking that by wanting to have a traditional role in your relationship you’re doing something wrong. What I’ve found is much more success in dating by being upfront and honest. Some guys are into it and others aren’t. I found my current partner and we’re both on the same page about our future and what roles we’ll take. Other women should try being honest from day 1 and you might find a partner but feminists are confusing women or shaming them for wanting to be in traditional roles, which is crazy to think about since feminism is supposed to be about “choices.” I guess choices only matter if you make the choice that feminists think is acceptable such as being a strong, hardworking woman 💪🏾🙄

@Hominus Nocturna Same as they would on any app. The only difference is the app makes it more convenient, especially for those working opposing shifts. Do yourself a favor, if people want to use an app or approach in person, let them have thier way. Don't bash them. Live and let live.

That's cool! I met my husband on bumble. He is pretty shy and has some social anxiety so honestly having me make the first move helped. After meeting me, feeling comfortable, and clicking with me, he took it from there, so whatever works ya know?

20 years from now she’s gonna be giving the same advice and still be single. I slid into my mans dms and the rest is history, going on 5 years married. And I literally couldn’t be happier. 💓 my man is shy and doesn’t like approaching women, so it was perfect that I approached him first. It took that stress off him. And we ended up clicking perfectly. I also don’t really think Shannon knows what feminism is

More women would be happier if they took this approach "i.e. Hey I'm Interested". You would be surprised by the types of men one would find vs waiting to be approached.

I've actually had more success on Bumble than any other app. One girl I dated said she likes that there aren't thousands of messages from guys to sift through. She can pick and choose which let's her move at her own pace. That sounds empowering to me. When I match with a girl, and they message, I have a way better conversation that leads to a date. I feel empowered too because I feel chosen rather than given the opportunity to shoot my shot.
@dustymcdust8253 жыл бұрын
This is true. When you are on Bumble and a woman actually takes the time to contact you it's because her interest in you is high. She doesn't feel harassed and I don't feel like I'm wasting my time to contact 100 women to get one. I think any woman that doesn't like Bumble doesn't like the fact that she boost her self esteem by blowing off a few hundred men per day.

You can blame on the men who get pushy and take it personally when they get rejected. I might just not want to date anybody at this time, why do I need reasons? Because of those betas, women need to be cautious at all time because we don't want to get beat up by a nutjob. Don't dare to blame on women, blame the creeps who don't understand the concept of boundaries.
