Can't imagine what it's like to live away from the rest of Canada. Nunavut is such an incredibly remote place for most.

The Northwest Territories have a highway connection to Alberta at least but by air is the only way to get here.

There are also parts in nunavik or ''northern quebec'' that are all remote.

Incredibly beautiful there--a place that most of us will never see with our own eyes. Thanks for the great video!

Wow, its amazing how cold it is. Where I live, here in New Jersey, in the US, we have never experienced that temps. When there is an artic blast in January and the temps are in the 10's °F or single digits ( minus 10's °C) and windy with a wind chill of -18 °C ( 0°F) the cold is brutal. We have to dress in layers and they even issue a "wind chill advisory". Imagine -46°C!!

In NJ we did have that one freak year in the early 80s, I think 82, for a few weeks in January it went down to -10 to -42 for one night during that time. Never forgot it!

Another cool video Steve. I would like to go and visit Iqaliut if I could...not sure I would want to live there given that it's very expensive especially food and supplies.

Minnesotans know how this feels. Usually only a couple days each winter get this low though. Can't imagine it being this low a temp for an very extended period of time.

-46C is -51F - but life goes on. I think the coldest temperature I have ever seen here in Maine was -38F which ironically is -38C. My car wouldn't start but my cousin's VW Beetle did.
