२००३ मे जब अटल बिहारी वाजपेई की सरकार थी तो भारत से एक शिष्टमंडल इराक गया जिसमे बागपत से सांसद सोमपाल शास्त्री भी शामिल थे इराक के तत्कालिन राष्ट्रपति सद्दाम हुसैन को जब सोमपाल जी ने अपना परिचय दिया तो शास्त्री शब्द लगा होने के कारण सद्दाम जी ने कहा"ब्राह्मण हो क्या"।सोमपाल जी ने कहा नही मै जाट हुं।सद्दाम हुसैन ने गले मिलकर कहा मै भी जाट हुं।शिष्टमंडल के बाकी लोग सरकारी आवास मे रुके जबकी सोमपाल जी को सद्दाम हुसैन अपने महल मे लेकर गया।दुसरे दिनकी बैठक मे एक मुस्लिम प्रतिनिधी ने सद्दाम हुसैन से पुछा की मै मुसलमान हुं आप मुझे अपने साथ नही ले गये।इस जाट को क्यो। सद्दाम हुसैन कहा की "धर्म तो पुजापाठ का तरिका है इसे बदलते ही धर्म चैंज हो जाता है लेकिन सोमपाल जी व मेरा खुन एक है यह बदल नही सकता। मै भी जाट,सोमपाल जी भी जाट इसलिये महल इन्हे साथ लेके गया।यह बात सोमपाल शास्त्री जी ने २००७ मे हुये जाट सम्मेलन मे कही|

Tokas साहब में भरतपुर का जाट हूँ। पानीपत की तीसरी लड़ाई के बाद महाराजा सूरजमल ने मराठाओं को अपने यहाँ शरण दी थी जिनमें से बहुत से यही भरतपुर के इलाक़े में बस गये। इसी प्रकार मराठा को सुरक्षित मराठवाडा पहुचाने के लिये बहुत से सैनिक उन के साथ भेजे थे जो लौट कर नहीं आये , वहीं बस गये। मैं इस विषय पर और जानकारी चाहता हूँ । बहुत से एसे तथ्य है इस विषय पर जो मैं आपके साथ साझा करना चाहुंगा ।

The first migration happened approx 3000 BC, from mid-east, east-europe to Indian sub-continent. The reverse migration happened around 1100- 1200 AD when too many outsiders started to invade India. And, all communities have evolved from Jaat & Gurjar communities, these are the 'Base' communities and, specific to India, when gradually Brahminical Society evolved about 1500-2000 years ago, some population from these communities became part of the new systen. Others chose to remain outside the system, as Brahminical System was democratic. That's the reason India still has Tribals, Gujjars, Jaats with their original ancestary intact. While Islamic and Christian Societies were not so democratic and therefore entire population in middle-east and eastern europe lost their ethinicity.
