IR value of 3 Phase Motor || Insulation Resistance of a motor || Megger || Malayalam

Please add this point: Meggering should be preceded by continuity and resistance value of 3 coils using multimeter. Checking sequence : 1. Continuity using multimeter - If OK, Proceed to: 2. Resistance of coils using multimeter - 3 coil values should be more or less same. If OK, Proceed to: 3. IR value between coils and between coils and body - OK if within limits. The tested Motor is in usable condition. IF meggering alone is done (by skipping the first 2 tests), we will get false IR values. Hope this helps.
