Great lighting effects! I love your use of double back lights. It looks for all the world like you are also using some natural sun light. I like how one side of your face is more brightly lit than the other as if you were using natural sun light from a window, bringing out your natural features with both light and shadow. This shows me that you are working on using different lighting techniques from video to video. This makes your videos more interesting on a subconscious level that many of your viewers will not even notice at a conscious level. Great job! I want to watch this video a couple more times and then try to make some sample sentences on my own.

I absolutely loved this explanation dear Paula. This actually made a lot of sense even though it was pretty hard to understand. I’m very new at Spanish. The comparison between it vs irse Made so much sense to me. I really think I understand. Now to put it all together. The other day I was watching a Spanish program, and a woman was telling a girl to basically get the hell out. She was saying “ te vas.” I now understand even better why she said it this way. So like get the hell out it doesn’t matter where. Lol. Just get yourself the hell out of here.

I am very interested in the verb abandoned. For one thing I am working with people who are interested some old railroad tracks that are presently not in use. Some people call these 'abandoned' railroad tracks but we prefer to can them "embargoed' meaning the tracks are not in use because the city will not let us us them. In my research I learned that one would say "El ferrocareill esta abantado" rather that "El ferrocareill es abantado". I am confused as to if I am using the right forms here but basically the question is that there are two different words for 'is" in spanish one for temporary condition and another for permanent condition. From what I gather when I say the Railroad is abandoned I would use a form of estar because being abandoned is a temporary condition. I have another listening practice that we talked about in private eMail where they talked about a person being abandoned. Well at least if I heard correctly. So I suppose one can abandon or in other words leave not only a place but also a person?
@SpeakSpanishWithPaula3 жыл бұрын
As for your confusion between “ser and estar”, yes, we would say “está abandonado”. “Las vías férreas están abandonadas” or “el ferrocarril está abandonado”. It’s interesting you use the word “embargoed” in this context. In Spanish I would use “embargado” just when the government takes over something to cover a doubt. Regarding the listening practice we talked about by email, yes, that boy was abandoned by his parents (el niño fue abandonado por sus padres), so sad indeed.

Una vez una amiga me invito a almorzar y yo dije: Perdon no puedo ir ahora porque tengo una llamada perp despues me voy. Y ella me dijo ''Vas a tu casa mas temprano hoy?" Ahi me di cuenta de que use el verbo irse incorrectamente jajaja pero solo ahora entendi el problema. :D Gracias Paula!

¿Puedo decir que: Ellos se estan yendo el viernes por la mañana?
@SpeakSpanishWithPaula3 жыл бұрын
