IR35 has been repealed

It will be messy as the engagements already deemed “outside” can’t suddenly have their contractors switch status meaning those contractors would likely leave to find a brand new engagement. Am I right?

I currently work in banking in a perm role. I am expecting an offer for a contracting role next week (which would be within IR35). Not sure how this changes things in terms of my negotiation power for the daily rate given I have to wait till April to switch to outside IR35. Would one expect to be able to command a higher daily rate now given the repealing of IR35 reforms?

No. Your inside ir35 rate = your outside ir35 rate minus taxes and other deductions.

IR35 is *not* being repealed, a lot of people are being misled in to thinking this. It is moving back to the old rules, which in my view is bad news for the contractor as it puts the onus on them to correctly make the determination
