Hi Tom! (And Bob) I’m William Farmer. I’d imagine you might know who I am, because I race with you guys all the time in open lobbies, so it was very cool to see you two hosting this video. I really can not explain how awesome and helpful this video was. You and I were probably trying to figure out understand these shock histograms at the same time I was. But, while I through my hands up and gave up, you not only did in depth research on these things, you took the time to make a whole lesson plan on it which was not only easily digestible, but extremely factual, engaging, and fun to watch. You coulda just said “it’s the high speed shocks”. But by explaining how and why it’s the high speed shocks, I feel like I know it all. Really awesome video. I feel like I learned what would have taken me months, in 30 mins. Thank you guys!! Maybe next time I see y’all on the track I’ll let you by... maybe... 😝 Also... I want the next level stuff!!

Thanks for taking the time for the lengthy response. So glad people are enjoying the content. I think we will have a community of iRacers that will know more about the NextGen cars than the NASCAR teams do when they launch their new season. As an iRacer interviews for a position on a NASCAR team, "It says here on your resume that you took the Buster's Corner's NextGen Courses". LOL

First off awesome video I’ve watched it a couple times now. One question I had when you are making changes to your shocks in your test are you changing all four corners to the same settings? So when you say you go to 5 on what ever portion of the shock are you putting it at 5 on all four corners or are you isolating it to one specific corner? Thanks in advanced looking forward to more videos about shocks!

For testing, i will adjust all four corners the same to get them close. But then you will need to go back and dial them in if needed to each wheel. You may find a nasty bump on the inside groove, but it doesn't effect the right side as much.

Do you have an example Motec Workbook for the Shock Speed Histograms? How did you decide the cutoff point between low speed and high speed?
