Amazing racing, Dave. I also love that this is what your channel is all about. The racing. Some other sim channels get too caught up (IMO) with equipment, content, or physics and FFB, but you remind me what this is all really for. I'd love to see more of your "let's learn the track" videos. I'd even love to see them even more in depth. Maybe talk about racing strategies and places to overtake, setup, etc. Keep up the awesome "work". Haha!

There's something very special, almost sacred about Daytona. Although I never got to run the tri-oval at speed I did an emergency fill- in during kart week in the mid '80s. This was before shifter karts were running so the fast guys were the twin -engined laydown chassis. We ran good raceday but we had to fight some aero problems to get there. The most feeling of speed I ever encountered. 170mph in the high banking actually feels even faster than 236 in a dragster. My racing life started with a home made yard kart in a time trial league in southern Virginia a week before my 9th birthday August 5th 1963. Oval racing has become my niche . Not always by my choice. I had to play to my opportunities A bunch of us wanted to go racing, my vote was dirt oval but the rest of us wanted to drag race, so we built a drag car. Finally got with an oval track team and found my new passion. My family has been racing since my grandfather ran Curtice midgets and motorcycles of several brands on the board tracks in the 1930's. My father came home from ww2 and started driving sportsman cars on all the local dirt tracks then my career, the longest one , then my youngest son, the most sucessful (He entered his crate motored car in a major race for open motor cars just to test and wound up winning the thing!) Now he jumped out of the seat to work on his oldest daughter's career. It makes me humble and proud knowing my family raced for FIVE generations and counting.
