Most races he does pretty well, he has a 50% top 5 rate, and has an average 5x per race. It's just that the worst of his races get put on these videos for all the world to see. For every race with a crash or alt+f4 you see here, there are about 10 more clean races. It's why he's able to keep his A Class for the past 2 years, and reach a 5000 iRating.

When I finally purchase iRacing, I PRAY that I'll be able to do races where people have more skill than is portrayed in... any of these clips. The fact that a sim you have to pay more than $100 a year to play has trolls is beyond me. I just wanna avoid 'em lol Some of these guys have... super nice rigs... and drive like a dingy turd. I mean, I don't know if they're doing it on purpose, and I know there is definitely a steep learning curve to be GOOD at racing, but... It's just disappointing, to know this is what I have to look out for when I start out. That said, great vid!

Im not sure if you realize that this is a fail compilation of a whole year? You will encounter trolls on the very beginning when you drive in the low classes. After that you wont 90% of the time. Also you should read a guide on purchasing iracing, there are a lot of packages and sales that can safe you some money so you dont have to spend that insane amount on just playing the game without any DLC.

@@ObitoUchihaisgay I do know it's a fail compilation, but a lot of the fails look like things I've seen in almost every iRacing video online, so I wasn't hopeful on my experience. I've been lucky enough to upgrade my system to run iRacing, but I've found other sims/racing games that have kept me occupied. Still wanna get into it eventually, but for now I'm content with what I have. Thanks for the tips though!

The force feedback from some direct drive racing wheels can hurt a lot (usually from a crash). I guess they wear the gloves to help soften the blow

I only use them because I have a problem with very sweaty hands (diagnosed hyperhidrosis) which makes my slippery and hard to grip onto the wheel. Also, the sweat itself stains and ruins the wheel. I understand some people when using gloves if they’re running 60min+ races or very strong wheels
