I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Dr. Greg Roth seems like a joy and I found his perspective on "wet plate" photography interesting. Great production!

I love the idea you say it's a dialogue between the photograph and the person who is looking at the picture and that your holding a moment in time in history. I've always believed that when I buy an antique it doesn't belong to me I'm just the custodian for the time being and if looked after others will enjoy it's beauty also at a later date.

I am also thinking of starting wet-plate photography, Your video made me even more curious about it. I went from the Pure Digital world back to the Analog World (basically the world of my childhood). And I enjoy all these processes quite a lot. Thanks for a great video. Hope Dr. Roth does well. Greetings from Germany.

Guten Tag! Danke! Let me know how your wet plate work goes! Here is a link to some research I have done about using artificial light sources with wet plate collodion. docs.google.com/document/d/1KWVGiFmDQG58GyGVCCTNAhhsP727czS2MUpqczLarj8/edit?usp=sharing I hope to do a video about wet plate using these different light sources by spring.

I have an old craftsman wheel burrow from the 1960s just like yours and a century #2 11x14 and a glass plate holder. Thanks for the motivation. Where do you get your supplies?

Any idea what the thing is called he put the plate in when he put the developer on the plate? Great video and interview.

It's called a developer "helper tray" It has a finger hole that allows you to push the plate up and break the seal when you are ready to move it to the fixer tray. Here is a supplier www.lundphotographics.com/Magento/index.php/helper-tray.html
