Besides its also a very smart thing to not touch the other players because its kind of like the military (I know I am being kind of stupid but...) military personnel arent suppose too touch other people for example there was a fight at school and there were a couple of marines there the marines totally ignored the fight because if they had tried to intervene the students could have "claimed" that they "hurt" them......

That referee was on a mission!. what the Iranian player was sent off for is something happens everyday in football and maximum punishment is a yellow card. On the other side of the pitch Karimi was one on one against the goalkeeper and also the Chinese player's tackle was so harsh and a straight red is absolutely necessary but the ref had another idea!. Strange arbitration in such a high level!!.

The chinese defence should have got sent off over foul on Karimi. The iranian defence though should have not got sent off. That was the worst and meanest ref ever. He definitely had something against iran or he wanted to help china reach the final at home. China didnt deserve this win and the final that year. They got beaten up catastrophically by japan in the final at home. The Japanese players even said they wish they had a harder challenge like iran in the final because china were too easy for them

Your knowledge of FIFA rules must be limited. Iranian player slightly pushed Chinese player backward. Chinese player pretended to be striken down and simulated an injury. It is very obvious on slow motion he covered his face. Iranian player didn't even touch his face. The red card was completely bs. The foul on Ali Karimi while he passed 3 Chinese defenders and in a one on one opportunity with Chinese keeper, should be a straight red card. The tackle was from behind and hit Karimi's left foot. This particular referee was banned for lifetime for match fixing in Lebanon few years later. This shows how corrupt, the referee was. He sent off two Iranian player for BS reason while he ignored Chinese players tackling Iranian players left and right. China was the host.
