There’s only one God. If that one God is the one that created humans in His image then that’s the correct way in life. If however the God of choosing is created in man’s image then that’s the incorrect path. So yes one can say in theory that Allah and Hashem are the same but that’s only true from an identification perspective. When someone commits acts of murder, rape, any violence or oppression of others in the name of [fill in one’s God name of choice] then it’s no longer Hashem. Our relationship is a top down reality not bottom up. I welcome and celebrate any person who can make this distinction and live by it. BTW I'm a big fan of R' Tovia Singer. Complete legend

@@shmoozin Acts of murder, rape and violence are not exclusive to any one religion. One of the central tenets of Islam seems to be believing in one God, the god of Abraham. Associating any partners with him or idolatry expels you from the faith. Also keeping God's law is essential. The principles of Islam seem closer to Judaism than any other religion - why then, can't the people be closer to one another also? That's the message of R' Tovia Singer and think it's a pretty damn important one, considering neither the Jews nor the Muslims are going anywhere.

@@JohnGaltAustralia when the Arabs were offered to share the Land in 1947 they declined, the Jews accepted. They then attacked the Jews in an attempt to inflict a second holocaust on us. It’s been that way ever since. They hate us with a few exceptional people. We on the other hand do not hate them, Arab Israelis thrive and participate in Israeli society. Go to any hospital and you’ll see amazing Arab doctors and nurses for instance. In every walk of Israeli life you’ll find Arab Muslims and Christians. That should answer your question mate. Dialogue requires two desiring and willing parties.

@@shmoozin Why not offer everyone in the occupied territories full Israeli citizenship and abolish the nationality / citizenship duality giving everyone equal rights like most modern democracies? This will effectively be the freedom they feel they’re fighting for while abolishing the need for a so called two state solution. To be honest, despite being muslim all my sympathies were with Israel until the aftermath of Oct 7 which saw the world’s most advanced military brutalising the world’s most deprived population. Also brought up many issues I wasn’t previously aware of such as restrictions on max calories to be allowed in and the ratio of clean water allowed for Jewish Israelis v/s the people in West Bank and Gaza. Most of my good friends are Jewish and I can see how disgusted they feel about what’s being done in the name of their faith. I know there are good people on both sides, and it’s about time for them to step in and take control.

The place known as Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel as named by God Himself, that has been named by various conquering nations as “Palestine” or “Palestinia” but which has never historically ever been a Muslim country called “Palestine”, should be a free and fully Godly spirited place that all good people and generous of heart human beings from across the world can come freely in awe and inspiration. Yishmael, the Hebrew word that means “God will hear”, is a prophetic and deep reference to the end of days when the one and only God, Creator and Sustainer of this beautiful, moral and ethical world will hear (yishmael) the heartfelt cries and prayers of the Jews and all good and morally desiring people from across the globe, restoring it and it’s people to their proper place of elevated glory, wonder and Godliness.
