Highly doubt the US would bring it's fleet into the strait when it knows it'll be within missile range. And unless it was a hornets nest of missiles and rockets, I seriously doubt any would even get close to the ships. Also unless Russia and China straight up give them shitloads of new aircraft, theirs is massively out of its depth. Most of their shit is slightly newer than North Korea. Iran's Navy could do some damage if the US bunched up in the strait but most likely would get annihilated in most cases. A land invasion would require pretty much the full mobilization of the US military and would be brutal, especially from all those mountains and their high population. However I'm not super certain if their military is any more motivated than Iraq's was. They could either quit right away and it would be Iraq 2003-2008 2.0 or it would be a meatgrinder.

Exactly. Iran's defense is better equipped than Saddam's military in the 2000s. So a US conflict with Iran would mostly be a all-out air campaign: bombing them from the sky, hitting their ports, rail lines, power plants, and military targets. Maybe there'll be some ground conflict but it'll likely be special operations units in Iran to disable their nuclear power plants and take out HVTs, and troops in bases in neighboring countries fighting Iran's proxy forces (which is something that needs to be considered)

If the war would happened 10 years ago many iranians would still fight against America but nowadays the majority of people hate the mullahs and they may even help America to overthrow the regime! However I think war is unlikely to be happening any time soon. both sides of this conflict knows what they will loose and it may not even worth it.

I keep wondering to my self why are ur contents lacks defense and weaponry.. for example us fleet has phalanx anti-air defense/offense it just strike the ship so anti climatic.. and also don't forget there is a mode for thrust vectoring for j-20, f-22/35 and su-57 along with another mode the fire and forget missiles and long range long kill because all 5th gen jet had an long range beyond visual range to fire first before the enemy sees them. If u want to create an world war 3 simulation at least try it to be more realistically can its already 2020 but ur contents are throwback 2015..
