One of the clearest examples of their political marginalisation is the closure of Kurdish political parties. Since 1990, five Kurdish parties have been closed by court orders in Turkey. @@Palestineisoccupiyinghearts Don't tell me what to do. You don't know me or what I have read. I have a complete library on history of both Ireland and Palestine and even more on religion including museum worthy leather bound books on the Ecclesiastical History of Great Britain and Ireland published in 1702 during the reign of Queen Anne and many pictorial embossed travelogues on the Holy Land from the 19th century as I have been reading and studying for five decades since working in my father's bookshop in County Down as my father and grandfather were both bookworms, and many of my articles on such subjects have been published around the world in English and Hebrew, even though I may not be as well read as your erudite self. If one is biased it does not matter how much you have read as you will not let truth seep in anyhow. In order to be reachable you have to be teachable, and that is not the case on here. 🙃 I also bought a library of leather bound books from a seller in Wicklow which are the bound Missionary Intelligence of the Anglican Church founded in 1809 as the London Society For Promoting Christianity among the Jews, founded a year later in Dublin in Sackville Street, now O'Connell Street, and which were valued on the Antiques Road Show to be worth £16, 000. There is only one other library of these books in the world, and that is in the Anglical Library in Jerusalem, and the other is on display in my home. They feature where Jews lived all across the world with hand drawn engravings and are of historical value even to Jews for the information they contain, and I have written a 300 page book based on the Irish history of this Society, including links to Oscar Wilde, the Titanic and Cadbury chocolate who built a wing of the Jews' Hospital in Jerusalem in thanks for caring for Richard Cadbury before his death from diptheria after travelling on a steam boat on the Nile enroute to Jaffa, where I lived for four years. However, now that I am terminally ill as a kidney patient with Amyloidosis, the rare disease that Martin McGuinness, the Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland succumbed to, the manuscript lies on my desk as I have no energy to get it published, despite my story being published by Four Courts Press in Dublin in a book on Irish missionaries entitled A Road Less Travelled. I will try to obey your command to read more history and religion, although I do get very fatigued daily. However, I find that on platforms like this being well read can be an impediment as folk will respond with caustic replies like "I'm not reading all dat" or "I don't need an essay." 🤯 So you recommend more reading, yet many on here cannot even read a full text! 🙃

Masterful Analysis, Tadhg!!! Congratulations on your reward/acknowledgement. Well done, you! If we had to embrace the policies, morals and ethics of every country, any of us have had the good fortune to visit, none of us would leave our hall closet! People have to invent issues in order to put bubble wrap around their belief systems and prejudices, so they never have to reflect upon their validity or decency. Tadhg, you are a guy with a BIG hart, a conscience that does not allow you to be silent, and you are sharp as a tack (your arguments are clear and logical.)

If you're still there I'm told there is a cat museum in downtown teheran. It's something I would definitely stop to see if I was there. It's got little heated couches and food and water for any stray cat that wanders in.

Congratulations on the well deserved award! I'm unsurprised by the hypocrisy of your critics. I wonder what it'll take to humble the superiority complex of the West.
