You are giving misinformation. Iran missiles DID NOT overwhelm defense systems protecting Israel. There were three countries anti missile systems that failed 180 Iranian missiles. These are ship based systems of United States and United Kingdom, and Israel land based Arrow2 and Arrow3 systems. The missile aimed at Mossad head quarter landed 1.5 kilometers away in unpopulated area. One Palestinian died in west bank and not a single Israeli citizen died from 150 Iranian missiles. Iran will have to fire at least 500 missiles at once to overwhelm Israeli defense system. Problem is that they do not even have that many launchers. It takes 12 minutes for missiles from Iran to reach Israel. With in 3 minutes of launch thousands in Israel were sent text messages to take shelter. Sirens blurted few minutes before some missiles did hit empty grounds. Most were destroyed in mid air. They did hit empty school and market building in night. Please find out facts and do not paddle misinformation.

Air defence missiles are not cheap , they intercept only those that are heading towards populated areas or built up military bases etc, that which falls into open areas are left untouched , it could also be broken remains of the same missiles hitting the ground.

13 or 15 strikes were recorded at just Nevatim air base (confirmed by satellite imagery & live video taken by Israelis), which was one of the 4 main targets of Iranian missiles. Last time Israel had given out figures of 98% intercepted and this time it didn't give out any figures, so that alone should tell us that this time the BMD system wasn't as effective. If 180 missiles were targeted at 4 targets, that means 45 missiles/target (assuming even spread), and if 15 got through on 1 target, it could mean as many as 33% getting through. Given that Israeli AD network is considered the world's best, this is the high water mark for BMD performance (66% success rate).

I think it is more likely that: a) Iran deliberately did not aim at/strike civilian-dominated targets, and/or aimed at empty desert, and b) Since most ADS's are utilized on the proportionality & population density doctrine, it is likely that the Iron Dome was never meant to intercept the missiles that were deliberately launched to fall over/'target' empty desert sites, and/or very low population density areas/regions (most people having being evacuated - over the past few weeks/months but also in the last few days, as there was ample signalling by Iran, not to mention all kinds of Western & Israeli intel, reg. a strike)...
