You have got it half wrong. This war was instigated and executed on the behest of Cheney. Sadam did not hate the US, he fought Iran again with the help of America but was let down. All involved where there to make money through the major supplier to forces Halliberton in which Cheny was heavily involved. Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction NIL, NIL AND NIL.

The bush's administration didn't care only about the pockets of the shareholders of the contractors. The lives of the US soldiers that gone for nothing and the life of the Iraqi people were a " collateral damage" . Precious lives of soldiers and civilians were gone for nothing, and taxpayers money of the US gone for more sadness and more unstable world. Of course we knew Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, we provided him with them. The problem was he used them in his people and accounted for the rest. Anything he had was so expired it might just make someone sick. How fast Iraq fell without such weapons being used should have been telling.
