@@iamme3909 it's in where you only use hard shadows without soft shadows just like normal anime but it's really hard to make a single arkwork look amazing with only cell shading
助かる!(いつの日か、使いこなすように) ⑨に見たんだけど、お手品に見えましたような(感じ) Making of Haduki (こういうこのでOKだといいんですけど?) [Rough translation of the notes. Because kanji is hard and maybe the TL could be useful for someone else too] ① 00:19 Keep notes of ideas - oh, I jotted down this idea. But what on earth is this? ② 00:45 Rough draft - drawing to roughly determine the composition. - 1:54 The hand, being too indecisive ③ 02:02 Rough - just a quick clean-up ④ 02:33 Line drawing ⑤ 04:17 Colour partitioning - I try to add some light shadows too ⑥ 04:47 First coat (shadows) - two shadow colours for each part at this stage - 5:48 I tend to start with colouring in body parts. However, there's no real reason for it… - 8:16 I'll also lightly paint the plastic bottle ⑦ 08:28 Background - This is when I'll start considering the right background to fit the composition, while I'm drawing. - 9:00 (I think I lost two hours worth of work once at this point, I were fuming) ⑧ 10:15 Polishing - Fine tuning colours again to match the background. - 10:22 From here I start drawing the plastic bottle in earnest. - 10:45 Ahhhhhh, the all crucial bottle recording bugged out and it is lost… Sorry,,(T_T) - 11:25 I had forgotten to paint the goggles… ⑨ 11:44 Effects & Finishing touches - water droplets and all sorts of visual effects to make the painting lively and eye-catching. - 12:45 Final colour adjustment. Re-framing, adding in prismatics [refractions?]… Finished!
