As a classical rock, i got to IR very late. I tried playing all IR songs. They didnt sound half as good as the real chords. I tried to replicate the chords by playing some occult shapes. much late later i realized that the freakin bass was the the real magic. The pure genius in the bass...omg. If somebody asks me what is IR known for, today i will say its the bass. Contrabass!!

Omg...omg, this is mindblowing !! So many different types of bass patterns just in one single song, n that too over a single drum rhythm that runs thru out the song...throw in the amazing chord progressions n the lovely bass runs in between in all types of tempos, the folk bit in stanza n ur own improvisations, u get nothing but a masterpiece....just how many bass techniques incorporated into one song, what was Raja sir thinking when he composed this...n Aalap ji u hv made a technically complex bassline look easy, that shows ur immense talent on bass, top class bassist, such tight playing n ur rhythm sense is world class, the grooves oh wow...keep doing this, looking fwd...just to add m just thinking how wld this bassline look on written score sheet, most players will run away...it will be that complex...

Whenever I heard this song, I skipped paying attention to the Bass lines that literally define the chords. Henceforth it's never gonna be that way. You've worked hard on this track, amazing job Aalaap 🙂much appreciation n respect my friend. I loved the way the lines went at 0.51-2.04. And then the higher octave phrasing at 2.50-3.05 there's so much flourish to the sound. At 3.14-19 those notes are not easy to figure out n it's difficult to maintain the tempo there lol. Totally killer stuff. I'm sure so many are gonna learn from this cover. I hope the man himself gets to hear you play his songs. Cheers n God bless your sincere efforts ❤️

Mind blowing cover dear. Wow this song is one of my favourite during my teens. Another song from the same movie "Vaanam namakku veedi" has some amazing bass lines.. i remember during those days we need good stereo-set with big speakers if you really got to hear those bass lines clearly.
