Very enjoyable Greg, it brought back good memories of visiting. I have been there twice, 2007 and 2013, and visited the town itself as well. It’s had some paintwork done since I was there and brighter than I remember, I looked at my pics and the walls had damp and were chipped when I was there and I think looked better, but it has to be painted I know. I looked out of the window as you did and took pictures, it’s a great view of the town. The room with the information boards had some when I visited, but much older ones. It’s a superb castle and I was thrilled to be there as one of the locations of the film Excalibur, one of my favourite films. Like you I would 100% recommend seeing it. The area is well linked too with the M8 only 2km away.

That stood out!! No film flam just let the stone's tell the story ! Excellent! There's a view you show , just near the end, before the geese, its the castle with the river , just stunning! Ireland at it's best👍
