First Team in the professional era to win a test series in NZ? Farrell still a beast even if WC heartache again.

The hardest workers in world rugby in my opinion. They're not the biggest or most physical team but their level of fitness is unbelievable. Being able to go 10+ phases without ever getting disorganised takes a lot of work off the ball. Defensively I'm also always impressed how they're disrupting every single ruck, it takes a lot of energy for a player to tackle someone, get up , resist a clear out and start a counter ruck... Real workhorses.
@MaxWaster7 ай бұрын
yeah so few people know how exhausting any type of wrestle is, and using your quads for clear outs, and running to the next one. It's the change of muscles and energy used. It's absolutely grueling and you would never know it watching the lads

Last try was a perfect example of that, pure grit, skill and bloody minded determination.

The fact you said Ireland aren’t physical probably indicates a real lack of understanding of the game. How do you think they secure every breakdown, will the gainline, have a strong set piece, hence winning 17 test matches in a row. Same with Leinster who win 99 per cent of their matches. Fitness lol, in professional sport?
@snowmotion99216 ай бұрын
@@eoinh3816 I never said they weren't physical, I said not the most physical but I'm not expecting you to know how to read since you obviously struggle with the meaning of words anyway. South Africa is the most physical team at international level (or England with the women is even more obvious) and La Rochelle is the most physical team at club level. Players like Mbonambi, Antonio, Etzebeth, Skelton, PSDT, Botia, De Allende, Danty etc are heavy carriers, enforcers, they hurt the opposition and tire them with their physicality. You'll probably grab a dictionary to try and play around the definition of "physical" but in rugby terms I'm 100% right and you know it. That's the reason I was praising Ireland this way, they don't have a heavy scrum, they don't have players over 140/150 kilos but they make up for it with technicity, grit, organisation, hard work and strong mental.
@eoinh38166 ай бұрын
@@snowmotion9921 La Rochelle recruit natural physical monsters yes absolutely. Obviously we know the extra supplements issue that goes on in South Africa at underage levels also which gives them an advantage physically but nothing the Irish players can do about that rather than just hope World Rugby stop it

@@iamlukeanning not necessarily, videos can have ads if they breach copyright, it’s very difficult to monetise rugby or sports videos as a whole which is why I wondered whether all this high quality content was done for free

In terms of what he can do for Ireland im not sure Ireland would swap any coach in the world for Andy Farrell at the moment, O’Gara probably the only one that comes close
