He swam for Ireland because he lives in Ireland, just like Irish rugby team. All four provenances play for Ireland. It's more acceptable now for our northern brother's to represent Ireland and compete around Ireland in various races. It's generally up to the person who they want to represent. Ireland, is Ireland, be it north or south, whatever your religion. I say fair play to Rhys and Daniel for choosing Ireland pa country that they live in and leaving religion and politics out of their sport.
