One question that I have is suppose I am graduated and my current visa status is stamp 1G, now I got a job say after 1 month, do I need to immediately go to immigration dept and change visa from stamp 1G to stamp 1 or should I change when stamp 1G is about to expire while continuing with the job?

Hi, Should a candidate have 20 months of continuous employment in the state (or) can there be gaps as well? I am planning to join my 2nd employer after elapsing 12 months with my 1st employer. But my 2nd employer is asking me to take a cool off period of 2 months before joining them. If i take that gap, then is it enough to work for another 8 months (or) I need to spend another 20 months with new employer?

I got confused now! From your previous videos : Stamp 2 > Stamp 1G (Critical Skills Permit) > Stamp 1 > Stamp 4........And now you are saying that you can directly jump from Stamp 1G to Stamp 4??? Please clear my doubts here...!!

Hi @Farhan, stamp 1G isn't your Critical Skills Permit itself or vice versa. They're two different things you need to apply for. Note that Parvez says there is two departments Immigration(GNIB) and Employments. To get your 1G (from GNIB) you don't need a work permit, although you must have completed your college course successfully. When your stamp 1G is about to expire after 2 years, you get your Critical Skills Work Permit (from Employments) and use that to get your stamp 1 (from GNIB) (3:05). After working with your CSWP for 21 months, then you apply for the stamp 4 eligibility letter (from Employments) and use that to get your stamp 4 visa (from GNIB). I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hey Gulam, As far as you secure a job and do well, employers would sponsor you a work visa. It is sometimes challenging to find work as a Non EU National but it depends on : - how the person is (with his/her approach), work experience, how strong is the CV and linkedin ..
