Criticism against Brook's essay- In the essay titled"The Critical Monism of Cleanth Brooks", R. S. Crane criticises Brook's theory of paradox in poetry. He says that Brooks ignores all the other elements of poetry in his analysis and Brooks also ignores the power of paradox in other discourses other than poetry.
