Modi handled Protests very well. The protesters were allowed to protest for many months, some of them even took advantage of the situation and made settlements on the highway road, also disrupting the lives of local population in the area. In the end, Modi even took back the Law despite its potential to help India’s horrible Agriculture sector. I have not seen any other leader do that much for a protest from a particular area of people. Remember, it was mostly farmers from Punjab and Haryana who had been opposing the act. The rest of states supported the law.

Farmer protests happened because there was whole lot of misinformation spread to the farmers. Khalistani elements were front, right and centre in this. The community protesting would not see the benefit of changes in farm laws. The last of any changes to farm culture dates from 60s- 70s. We well know we need to change, but some people have become slightly comfy with old system, therefore, it was easy to mess with their heads! The bill is no more an issue, PM has cenacelled the whole bill.

I would suggest that you peruse the laws enacted for the benefit of the farmers and compare it the actual situation of the farmers in India, you would understand, how a political party to gain brownie points, acted against the interests of the farmers only to show the ruling party in bad light. You guys don't know what you talking....the farmers protest was to deregulate the farm products market so that special interest groups do not profit on hard work of farmers...these interest groups paid the farmers to protest...deregulation meant that they will get more money....but farmers are not economists and easily manipulated...to say the least
