Yes possibilities are very few , the big issue is that this team is old and new players are not high level as the old team.... the only young (is not young in the real sense of the word) is Defalco.... probably this team can do well at olympics but in few years i don t see real replacements for the top players...

@@charlie-ge2pe France has always been a bit inconsistent.. they are always stronger in tough matches and don't perform at all against "easier" teams, we went from winning italy to loosing to germany, that struggled against turkey.. like idk what's happening this year but it make no sense

Not really the focus is the Olympics this year The lower ranked teams on the bubble are trying to get points To stay where they are The higher ranked teams have already made it in and in most cases their positions won’t change As the VNL is really only a chance to get points or try out different players or different plays Plus you don’t get as much points beating a lower ranked team but you get more points for beating a higher ranked team

@@DW-op7ly But the if you lose to a lower rank teams, the points deducted are high. Though I somehow agree that some are more focused on Olympics than VNL but let's still give credit where credit is due. Beating a higher rank team isn't easy. 😊

I think that classification is correct.... the best team is Poland and the second is Italy.... but the difference in top teams are very minimal so these games are not great upset..... iran defeats Usa is a mega upset, i know that usa fan don t care but lose against a team with 0 victories (playing with lots of starters) is terrible and is not a great signal

USA only played 1 match perfectly, and in the rest of the matches they were frustrating. Slovenia, Italy and Cuba are on my favorites list. France has relaxed for some reason after last years. Canada played poorly in week 1, but they turned things around from week 2 onwards. Iran played poorly for 2 weeks, but in this match they changed dramatically. And Brazil play great as usual

@@keiionno its a great achievement to beat a higher ranked team but like I said I wouldn’t put much on the VNL this year any other year then yes Reminds me of this Canadian world skating champion he won 3 years in a row the year the Olympics came he got 6th place The year before the next Olympics he got gold again at the world championships All people could talk about was could he get gold at next years Olympics or even medal he finished out of the medals again That forever defined his career

This was very exciting match. Congrats to Iran ! US was almost there. This year's tournament is unpredictable to say the least. Every team bringing topnotch game. Many players from these so called lower rank teams are playing year round in European leagues. More practice in real games verses team practice.
