every time I try this, some thing is messing it up, sometimes the pillow doesn't puff up, but when it does it explodes if the pressure is too much or its super loose. no matter how many times I try its always a different result

need to learn how to retopo text cuz it does not work when I shrinked down the pillow

Try increasing the pack size. Or apply the remesh modifier to the text

My go to way to repo text and have it be low poly is to apply one remesh modifier on voxel mode and then another on top of that with smooth mode to varying degree
