Iridescent Y2K Logo In Blender (Beginner Friendly)

‼Update: Use these settings to render the logo into a video clip. The method shown in this video renders out every frame as an image file that requires an extra step. Goto "output properties" choose "FFmpeg Video" on the "File Format" open the "encoding" tab and change the "Container" to "QuickTime" Then go to "Video" and change the "Video Codec" to QT rle / QT Animation. Lastly, go up to "File Format" and under the "Color" choose "RGBA" ‼ PARENT THE RING TO THE FILL ‼ I believe I left that part out. Also, I used Blender 3.6 here. That is why it looks different on Blender 4 or newer. You can find the older versions of Blender on their website.

I used blender version 3.5 or 3.6 on this video. You can download it from blender’s website. I haven’t used the newer versions that much as of lately.

Select the render tab and then go down to where it says "Film" and open it. Make sure "Transparent" is enabled. Lastly, go to the output tab and make sure RGBA is enabled and color depth 16 is enabled too.

Try exporting it in a FFMPEG format within blender rather than PNG. Let me know if that helps.

@@Aight234 That depends on your pc. If you have a graphic card it should help with render times. Make sure you enable GPU compute.

Whenever I extrude the text it becomes supper long, am I supposed to extrude to 0.03m or 0.3m

When you add zeros after the decimal it extrudes smaller. Add them accordingly to your liking. A 0.3 should extrude thicker than 0.03.

You are supposed to parent the ring to the fill. I did edit that part out accidentally 😅 It should work. Make sure to select the correct text.

@@faia2907 Yes, when rendering on blender, use FFmpeg Video instead. In my experience I like to use PNG because its faster to render and I can add a background to the final render.

Make sure to be on the latest version of Blender. Currently it’s 3.6 and also you can see checker deselect when edit mode is enabled. Press TAB and you should see the vertices which are the little dots on the edges of the stars/circle.
