Beautiful piece and beautiful playing. Ms. Kulikova is one of the few guitarists who is careful to prevent the strings from occasionally squeaking while repositioning the fingers of the left hand. To my ear, which is sensitive to those noises, this is one of the skills that distinguishes the truly best guitarists.

The strings squeak when they are new, or because of the speed with which the fingers move. Remember that there are many virtuoso guitarists and because of how fast they play, it is even normal for the strings to make that squeaking sound that you mention from time to time.

@@marcfernandez69 : Ms. Kulikova disagrees with you. On October 3rd she replied: "squeaky sound comes not cause of new or old strings. It’s a technique of a left hand if you want to play clean. I learned to play piano and also my mom who is a cellist taught me a few things that I apply." So, although it may be "normal" for "virtuoso" guitarists to make unmusical noises, it doesn't need to be normal because they could learn better technique. First they need to learn it's possible, so they will begin to try.

@@marcfernandez69 : Guitarists who "squeak & creak" their strings should not be considered virtuosos, in my opinion, even though nearly all of them do it. I wrote nothing that implies you expressed a negative opinion about Ms. Kulikova. It's good that you recognize her talent. My high opinion of her should serve as refutation of your childish imagination about why I criticize guitarists who lack her technique. It's an obvious fact that they squeak & creak their strings much more than she does. Let's turn around the spotlight, since you've chosen to make a personal attack on my character. I imagine you're a guitarist who often squeaks & creaks your strings, so your own ego is involved in your defense of noisy guitarists. Why don't you instead try to learn better left-hand technique?
