This was an amazing tutorial. I followed it precisely and my finished quiet book project came out so much better than I thought it would. Thank you!

Pray you are doing well. I am getting ready to bind my first Quiet Book. Excited to finish it. 10 pages total. It is thick due to lots of puffy things in the book.Thank you Irina for your great tutorials.

Are there 10 pages or 10 sheets (1 sheet = 2 joined pages)

thank you for your willingness to teach us. only one question: do you prefer to make quiet books with or without binding? thank
@IrinaSorokinaMyCraft3 жыл бұрын
And thank you for watching!! Without binding - if pages are very simple, for little children, and the size of the page is up to 15-17 cm. If there are a lot of details on the page, if the page is larger than 17 cm - I prefer to bind pages

Where can I get pins like that? And the pointy thing you use to hold the material until it's stitched.

Two questions: 1) you say to use the outer edge of your presser foot to determine the binding seam allowance. Since I have a few feet to choose from, what seam allowance should I use when attaching the binding? 2). How do I determine the un-bound portion on the pages? Where the spine will be sewn? My pages are 8-inch x 8-inch.

Seam allowance is 7 mm (the distance between the centre of a presser foot and the left/ right edge of it - the needle is in its middle position) Unbound portion is approximately 1/3, if one side is 8 inches, then leave a gap about 2-2.5 inches long

@@IrinaSorokinaMyCraft you are amazingly helpful! I’m getting ready to bind my first book, and I’m getting tripped up on metric vs imperial! All of my measuring tools are imperial!
@IrinaSorokinaMyCraft3 жыл бұрын
Oh, I'm sorry, but I use metric, and only sometimes use imperial (on my patchwork rulers) I'll try to do something about that 🤔

@@IrinaSorokinaMyCraft no apologies! You are SO generous with your tutorials, and that is more than enough!
