This 1998 song belonging to the Romanian hard rock band Iris was released on "Mirage" album. "Mirage" is an unitary project considered by both critics and listeners the best rock achievement of 1998 in Romania. The disc is an experimental hard rock and heavy metal realization that has 12 tracks which excel with their orchestrations and lyrics. The lyrics contain many "locked" metaphors that can be interpreted in various ways. From the musical point of view, the album incorporates a lot of heavy metal riffs and solos, and Cristi Minculescu's voice is great, balancing between whispered portions and high-pitched screams. "Mirage" isn't a commercial album, "Madrigal" and "Sun Ra" being the only tracks that somehow can be considered radio friendly songs. Another important fact is that "Madrigal" was chosen as one of the best songs of 1998 in Romania. Here we have a live performance of "Madrigal" at the "Iris 25 Years" anniversary show, an unforgettable and spectacular concert that guested the legendary British group Uriah Heep.
