The weather thing is being overblown quite a bit. They aren't playing at high noon. It was 91 degrees in South Bend when Tennessee State and ND kicked off in the afternoon last season. They kickoff 6:30 PM CDT.

LMAO, [Weigman's weight gain] "...made me think of Deshone Kizer !" 😆Ok, that was one of the most interesting and amusing ND casts I have seen, and definitely a top 3 all-time for preseason!! Sub'd. Keep it up! (sigh) might have to spring for that VIP... Go Irish!

By the way forecast for College Station is 89 for the high 74 for the low with 55% chance of Thunderstorms

That doesn't sound too bad. It is kind of a mug's game shall we say, to factor in the weather for a football game or outdoor sporting event weeks in advance. It was over 100 degrees two weeks aga, but not now....

The way they pay RBs in the NFL. It’s better for Love and Price share carries and have a full NFL career.

Pete Sampson appears to believe we have pretty much no chance against A&M that our offensive line is going to be like a turnstile
@Tony-dk9sx2 ай бұрын
That's not accurate. Sampson thinks that Riley Leonard is a difference maker in this game and that Al Golden has a distinct advantage over A&M's offensive coordinator (he will "eat his lunch").

Jimmy’s and Joe’s are greater than X’s and O’s Riley Leonard has the advantage over Elko. Go Irish!

It took Bryce probably 200 more words than Sampson to make the same point on Al Golden.

Interesting fact. In the ESPN top 100 college athletes, Riley and Weigman are next to each other, in the 70’s.

I quit watching ESPN years ago when they went political. I disregard everything they say because they hire analysts and announcers based on diversity, not knowledge…I pay a lot of attention to these guys as well as a few others.

Is CJ Carr a better QB than Kinney Minchey? I notice you guys speak so highly of CJ and want to elevate him behind Riley Leonard. And you guys speak as he will definitely become QB 1 next season.

If my 8 and 10 year old daughters can practice soccer 3x a week for 90 minutes in the central Texas heat, the ND football team will be alright.

Agreed, I just played a rugby game in 106 degrees heat in Texas and I am 33 years old. They will be fine as long as they hydrate lol

Your kids aren’t 300lbs and have an extra 10 pounds of equipment on them either, on top of beating each other up with another person that weighs the same if not more
@Joeyjojoshabbadoo2 ай бұрын
@@CarlCramer88 Agreed. That is not reassuring. If it was actually 105 degrees on game day that is extremely hot and humid and genuine extraordinary circumstance for a tackle football game in heavy padding and gear. But I don't think it will be that hot.
@Dimwitland2 ай бұрын
Have been in Texas for the weeks leading up to and for the game, before I head back to Arizona. The heat is nothing for a south 'Zonan', the humidity however, is astonishingly bad for a desert dweller. That said, as a Domer, later I was a grad student with no money to escape The Bend for a few years, and some of those were BRUTAL humidity, months on end. Having lived there for 5 years, have to say If you think anyone who regularly deals with the water in the air in SB can't deal with what I am dying of now in S. Antonio, you simply haven't been in South Bend in the summer. Houston is worse, generally, but they're not playing there. While I do think there will be some effect, not enough to overcome the depth at most positions, and certianly not enough to be some great advantage to the home team. O Line will suffer because they don't have help, but Denbrock isn't stupid and will plan accordingly. Go Irish!
