This is brilliant footage - thanks for adding it. There's so little on KZbin of the golden era of the diesels. If this was 1993 then 011 was at the end of its working life. The last 001 'A class' was withdrawn in 1994 if memory serves me right. Well done for posting this. Have you any more like this?

Hi mythicalireland Thanks for the comment...yes I have more somewhere...!! seem to remember there was a limerick-rosslare that went in to limerick jn then backed out then headed to rosslare filmed that..will keep my eye out for that..unfortunately no more A class though.. Cheers Warren

It's interesting how clean the bottom half of No. 177's bodywork is at 4:52 is; the orange in that section is definetely a strong constrast to the rest of the locomotive. It's a shame traffic is not as interesting as it once was due to almost every passenger service being a Diesel Multiple Unit; the Diesel Multiple Units are undoubtedly a fine choice for going in both directions at terminuses and are genereally effecient etc However it doesn't beat seeing a loco hauled passenger service :)

That little 011 sounds like a british class 35. I think I've still got some warming to do to that GM howl, though.
