Very nice Eiretrains. 233 had a modification to its exhaust system at that time - sounds great at 3:35! Not a railcar in sight.

I see 214 in this. Only ten years old then and was one of the ten 201's (201-205 & 210-214) which went into storage five years later. Being cannibalised for parts for the operational 201's I believe.

Look at the two executives at the end of the video! Excellent shot .Must have been a charter. Any idea of where the executives are now? North Wall,Waterford...

Thanks, I was sort of yacked by that train(!) I hadn't properly looked at those clips in years and hadn't noticed they were the Executive set, so it might have been a special, a few of the them are still in Inchicore I think.

Had the guard access to the rest of the coaches from the generator car

Yes there are corridor connections between all coaches.

Yes. And on the Mk3 the guard sat in First Class and only went to his cabin to open & close the doors.
