Simply amazing all kids should take these down and memorise i wish i had had a better approach in school, so pissed off here i am at 46 going through this stuff after 12yrs wasted on bad teaching. Thanks.

The standard of teaching is shocking, every single school should be teaching through Irish, not bloody English.

I just recently found your videos! I love the patience and time you provide to helping me learn your beautiful language. I will be visiting (Northern) Ireland in a few months and am working to learn some conversational Gaelge. I truly appreciate your wonderful teaching abilities of your language. Thank you--Tess

Thank you very much Tess, my inspiration actually comes from certain difficulties that the language faces in the Northern part of Ireland. Have a great time in Ireland and don't forget to visit the Titanic experience in Belfast 😊

@@LearnIrish Thank you. I am so very excited to visit such a beautiful place. Ireland has always been on my Wish List. I hope to return many times, eventually visiting all of both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. I am sure that your videos will help me be a better visitor to that wonderful world of history and people. Keep up your wonderful work.

I also have another channel on driving lessons so that could be a good idea to check out if you are driving in Ireland 🙂 My other KZbin channel name is called "Dane Tyghe"
@tessfaded88535 жыл бұрын
@@LearnIrish Oh dear. I don't think you'd want me to be driving on your roads when I come. I thought about renting a car to get to a few places further out from Belfast. But thought better when I considered I would be driving very unfamiliar roads, on the opposite side, maybe in the dark at times. I will enjoy the buses and train this time. But I will still check out your driving lessons video. Thanks!! 😊

Arabic which I also know a fair bit now also relied heavily on verbal nouns. Some 90% of Arabic nouns are actually verbal nouns due to their dominant root system. The future tense in French, Portuguese. Spanish etc. uses the verb GO to indicate future in a verbal noun sense. Irish verbal noun I notice to be in place of going or in the process of an act stated in the infinitive or gerund

A Dhane, when do you know when to pronounce “Fein” with an “h” or an “f”? Or is it always “f” in Munster dialect?
@LearnIrish4 жыл бұрын
Depends if the F is followed by a h, if so the Fh will be silent. If no h the it's an f sound.
@alixwithani82503 жыл бұрын
I believe you’re referring to the pronunciation of something like “agus tú fein” as “agus tú hein”? This is an Ulster dialect thing!

Could you tell me the proper irish words for soul journey?
@LearnIrish5 жыл бұрын
Turasanam, turas = journey and anam = soul. Tír gan teanga tír gan anam.
@seamusoshea224 жыл бұрын
Sorry to bug you but I noticed you seemed to leave out the first “u” in “turas” to result in “trus”. Is there a rule here?
@LearnIrish4 жыл бұрын
You need to be careful that you don't copy English phonetic rules into Irish, Irish is one of the oldest language in Europe and predates English by centuries. Irish is an ancient Celtic language and will not follow the grammatical rules of English which is a young Germanic language. As for your question on Turas it simply depends on the dialect. In southern USA they might say How y'all doin? In England it might come out how are you dewing?
