@@FarmerFpv The trick at the end is definitely off-the-shelf. I’ve personally used a special deck of cards designed for exactly that trick and it’s for sale at magicians’ shops and websites. I won’t spoil it here, but the abbreviation of the nature of the deck that allows that to work is “r-s.”

I talked to a person who was in the audience of one of these shows. so much of it is set up ahead of time and the judges and even the audiences are coached to look amazed. they know that certain people will make viral hits on the show so they rig the episodes to feature them -- great for ratings.

I’m sorry. This made me cry. My son is autistic. He graduated college with two bachelors degrees. But when this young man let out that breath of relief, it brought back all the encouraging one to one talks I had with my son growing up. I wish nothing but joy for him and his family.

As somebody with autism myself (to a lesser extent than the rampant ADHD in my system), I've found music to be my niche. Regarding autism, I can say way more with music than I can with words -- and I've taken classes in six foreign languages over the course of time. But when I talk, I am clumsy, afraid of grammatical errors, and generally using about three times as many words as I need to. My writing is also clumsy and meandering as a rule. But with music, I can say what I feel (a real problem with autism/ADHD, as a mouth filter does not exist), and I can say it more precisely. Props to this young man for finding his niche! And I hope that for your child, @Vinni D, may he/she also find a niche in which to grow into and succeed! (We autism folks need to stick together!) All the best to you and your child. 🙂
